David Imai is a design leader with over two decades of global experience in automotive and transportation design. Currently, he is the Chief Designer at Arc – a pioneering electric boat company headquartered in Los Angeles. Previously, he led design teams at Tesla for over 13 years, helping oversee the company’s entire vehicle lineup. His earlier career included key design roles at GM Europe and Opel where he contributed to advanced concepts and production programs. David holds a master’s degree in Transportation Design from Coventry University in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Duke University in the US.
