Enoch Hui

Founder

Atelier E · Hong Kong

Enoch Hui received his architectural training at the University of Bath in 2002. In 2009, he founded Atelier E, where he approaches each project as a symphony of interconnected spaces, characterised by unique and refined details that create a journey of discovery. Enoch's design philosophy emphasises the curiosity of life rather than following design styles or trends. He believes that creativity stems from curiosity.

He is grateful for the recognition he has received in the field, including being named a winner in Perspective’s 40 Under 40 Awards in 2013. Enoch also values the opportunity to serve as a guest critic at design institutes in Hong Kong, where he shares insights with aspiring designers.

❝The questions I constantly ask myself are 'Why?' and 'Why not?'. This inquisitive mindset fuels my curiosity and encourages me to delve deeper into the everyday experiences around me. I believe that by questioning the status quo, I can uncover hidden opportunities and challenge conventional thinking. There are countless established answers I encounter, yet my desire to break through these boundaries motivates me to explore new possibilities and innovate. This journey of curiosity not only enriches my creative process but also inspires me to contribute to meaningful change in the design landscape.❞ — Enoch Hui on "Curiosity"
