REMARKS:

When curiosity drives us to rethink how we live, work and connect, we can discover new possibilities for shaping our world.

Ole Scheeren examines the creative tensions between density, nature and community in the world’s fastest-changing cities. His work challenges architecture to move beyond mere function or spectacle by using fiction as a design tool. Drawing on living narratives, Ole Scheeren presents radical models for integrated urban ecosystems and a compelling vision for cities of tomorrow.

Curiosity-driven questions to address in the keynote:

●   What does it mean for architecture to follow fiction rather than just function and how does this change the way we design?

●   How can architecture balance memory and history with the need for innovation and adaptability?

●   How do we design buildings and cities that are sustainable, resilient and remain relevant over decades, not just in the short term?

●   What role should architecture play in scripting the next 20 years of urban life globally?
