Antonio Saccone was born in Haifa in 1969 and offers a distinguished profile, harmonizing significant institutional acumen, communication expertise, and a solid background in the audiovisual industry. Relocating to Rome in 1976, he earned his degree in Political Science from the “La Sapienza” University. His professional journey began in the media sector, where he collaborated with Europa TV and later, between 1996 and 1998, worked alongside the Italian version of Time Magazine. He then joined Rai, Italy's national public broadcaster, contributing to the realization of highly successful formats such as "Misteri" and "Sfide." Concurrently, Mr. Saccone forged a significant path in political and public service, assuming numerous elected roles. These included serving as the President of the Municipality 2 of Rome (2001-2006), City Councillor (2006-2008), and Senator of the Republic from 2018 to 2022. Presently, his extensive institutional background is combined with a well-established practice in external relations, communication, and institutional mediation. He holds key executive and board positions within academic foundations and entities, notably serving as a Board Member of the Fondazione Unicampus San Pellegrino – a private research institution formally recognized by the MUR (Ministry of University and Research) – and as Chief Executive Officer of Fusp Srl, Scuola Superiore di Mediazione Linguistica. Effective 2025, Antonio Saccone has taken the helm as President of Cinecittà, called upon to lead an entity that is strategic for the development of the domestic and international audiovisual industry.
